Key Directions:

  1. From Jefferson Road, turn left onto Potts Camp Road.

  2. Proceed about a half of a mile and then on your left, you will see a long gravel road with a sign directing you to take a left to 765 Potts Camp Road.

  3. Proceed down the long gravel road, past the fences and the green building on your left, and you will see another turn with a sign to take another left to get to 765 Potts Camp Road.

  4. Proceed down the hill on the gravel road only, and on your right you will see the gravel area and parking for the dome.

  • Burgess Falls State Natural Area ~30 min · A short 2-mile round-trip hike leads you past four cascading waterfalls, including the spectacular 130-ft main falls. One of Middle Tennessee's best-kept secrets.
  • Edgar Evins State Park ~15 min · 6,000 acres of forest with lakeside hiking trails, a marina, and some of the most peaceful water views in DeKalb County. Great for birding and wildflower walks in spring.
  • Center Hill Lake ~10 min · Over 18,000 acres of clear water perfect for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Launch points and swimming coves are accessible right down the road.
  • Fall Creek Falls State Park ~1 hr · Home to one of the tallest waterfalls east of the Mississippi at 256 feet. Hike the gorge, swim in the plunge pool, and take in views that feel genuinely remote. Worth every minute of the drive.

  • Pates Ford Marina ~1 mile · Boat rentals, pontoon charters, and fishing gear available. Whether you're casting for bass or just floating in the cove, the lake doesn't disappoint.
  • Kayaking & Paddleboarding Bring your own board or rent locally — the calm coves of Center Hill Lake are ideal for paddling at sunrise or golden hour.
  • Fishing Center Hill Lake is renowned for largemouth bass, striped bass, and crappie. Pick up a Tennessee fishing license at any local hardware or sporting goods store before you cast.
  • Horseback Riding Several stables in the surrounding DeKalb and White County area offer trail rides through wooded hills — a wonderful way to experience the landscape.
  • Caney Fork River Flowing cold and clear from Center Hill Dam just minutes away, the Caney Fork is one of Tennessee's premier trout fishing rivers. Bring a fly rod or simply float a section — the canyon scenery is stunning.

  • Smithville Square The historic courthouse square has local shops, antique stores, and a relaxed small-town energy worth an afternoon wander. The annual Fiddlers' Jamboree on July 4th weekend draws thousands.
  • Proper Coffee Roasters A local favorite for a quality morning cup before hitting the trails. Stop in for a latte and a pastry to fuel your day.
  • Mi Casita Mexican Restaurant A Smithville staple. Generous portions, cold margaritas, and friendly service — perfect after a day outdoors.
  • The Burlap Room ~20 min · The Burlap Room is a local gem with a laid-back beer garden and a rotating schedule of live music nights. Pull up a chair under the open sky, order a cold one, and catch a local act — it's the kind of place that makes a night out feel effortless. Check their calendar before you go for upcoming live music dates.
  • Short Mountain Distillery ~30 min · A scenic stop for local spirits, tasting flights, and a taste of Tennessee craft distilling just a short drive from the property.

How-To Guides

Hot Tub

  1. Remove the cover and fold it back onto the holder behind the tub.
  2. Check the digital display — the tub is pre-set to 102°F and ready to use.
  3. Press the Jets button to activate the jets. Press again to cycle through intensity levels.
  4. Use the Light button to toggle the underwater LED.
  5. Limit soaks to 15–20 minutes at a time; step out to cool down before re-entering.
  6. When finished, replace the cover securely to maintain heat and water quality.
  7. No glass in or around the tub.

Coffee Maker

  1. Lift the top lid and fill the water reservoir to your desired level using the markings on the side.
  2. For regular brewed coffee, place a coffee pod or K-Cup into the designated pod slot and close the lid.
  3. For a pot of coffee, add your favorite ground coffee directly to the brew basket — no paper filter is needed.
  4. Place the carafe on the warming plate and press the Power / Brew button.
  5. Brewing takes about 4–6 minutes. The warming plate will keep your coffee hot automatically.
  6. Rinse the carafe after each use and remove any used pod or grounds when finished.

Heating & Air Conditioning

  1. Use the Nest thermostat on the wall to control both heating and cooling.
  2. Tap the thermostat screen and select Heat when the dome feels too cool or Cool when it feels too warm.
  3. Turn the ring or use the display to set your preferred temperature.
  4. If you want more or less airflow, select Fan and choose your preferred setting.
  5. The Nest will automatically heat or cool to maintain your selected temperature and keep the space comfortable overnight.

Bluetooth Speaker

  1. Hold the Power button until the indicator light flashes — the speaker is now in pairing mode.
  2. On your phone or device, open Settings → Bluetooth and enable Bluetooth.
  3. Select the speaker from the list of available devices (it will appear by its model name).
  4. Once connected, audio will play through the speaker automatically.
  5. Use the volume buttons on the speaker or your device to adjust the level.
  6. Hold the Power button to turn off when done. It will reconnect to your device automatically next time.

Sauna

  1. Turn on the sauna by pressing the Power button on the control panel (far right button).
  2. Allow a few minutes for the sauna to heat up before entering.
  3. Use the temperature and timer controls to adjust the heat to your preference.
  4. For best comfort, bring a towel and stay hydrated before and after your session.
  5. When finished, press Power again to turn the sauna off and let it cool down.

Toaster / Air Fryer

  1. Place the unit on the countertop with at least 6 inches of clearance on all sides — it vents from the back and top.
  2. For toasting: insert bread into the top slots, select shade level with the dial, and press the lever down. Toast pops up automatically when done.
  3. For air frying: pull out the basket, place food in a single layer (do not overcrowd), and slide the basket back in firmly.
  4. Turn the Function dial to Air Fry, set the Temperature dial (375°F is a good starting point for most foods), and set the Timer.
  5. The unit will beep when the timer ends. Use tongs or oven mitts — the basket gets hot.
  6. Allow to cool before cleaning. Wipe the basket and tray with a damp cloth after each use.

Ice Maker

  1. Ensure the unit is plugged in and the water reservoir is filled to the Max line using the provided pitcher or tap water.
  2. Press the Power button — the indicator light will turn on and the unit will begin its first cycle within minutes.
  3. Select your ice size (Small / Large) using the Select button if available.
  4. The first batch of ice is ready in approximately 10–15 minutes. The ice basket will fill as cycles complete.
  5. When the basket is full, the unit will pause automatically and resume once ice has been removed.
  6. Scoop ice with the included scoop — do not use hands or glass directly in the basket.
  7. The ice maker does not freeze ice — use it as needed and transfer extras to the freezer to keep them from melting back into the reservoir.

Outdoor Grill

  1. Confirm the propane tank valve (on the tank itself) is open by turning it counter-clockwise.
  2. Open the grill lid before igniting — never light with the lid closed.
  3. Turn the burner knobs to High and press the igniter button. You should hear a click and see a flame within a few seconds.
  4. If the igniter doesn't catch after 3 tries, turn knobs off, wait 5 minutes for gas to clear, then try again.
  5. Preheat the grill for 10–15 minutes with the lid closed before placing food on the grates.
  6. Grill tools and a wire brush are stored in the cabinet below. Brush the grates clean before and after cooking.
  7. When finished, turn all burner knobs to Off, then close the propane tank valve. Close the lid when cool.
